Sonny.

I was recently listening to New Found Glory's Sticks and Stones release when track three entitled "Sonny" came up. I have always liked this song and this release. It was a huge part of my growing up. This time the words struck me a little differently. I am currently working on a project for my Systems class about my dad and earlier this year, my grandma passed away and we lost my childhood home to foreclosure. This was the first time I have listened to this song since those events took place and it just encompassed the way I've felt this year. The song is about the death of Jordan Pundik's Grandfather. Even though I have absolutely no connection to this person, it's nice to know I'm not the only one. When you're engulfed in these emotions, it just feels like there's no one out there that understands and you're the only one -- which can be debilitating. It's nice to have affirmation that it will be better and we can move past it. It's quite inspiring to me.
